In 1967, the first Amphibia watches were produced by the Chistopol Watch Factory "Vostok" in the USSR. Renowned for their reliability, these mechanical watches were favored by sailors and divers for their ability to operate at depths of up to 200 meters and endure extreme conditions. A special military version was made for the Soviet Navy and tested during naval exercises. In 1975, the Amphibia even went into space aboard Soyuz-17. These watches are praised for their durability, shock resistance, and precision, continuing a legacy from WWII.

    Attractive and rugged watch. Right out of the box it's running about +12 seconds a day, very impressive imo. The shipping was quick and the watch was packed well. Not soon after I got it I popped off the bezel (very easy) and put a brushed finish on the bezel. Also changed strap. Currently have a tan leather rally strap. Fantastic watch and good buy.

    Arrived on time, No problems with shipping or the watch. The picture is incorrect however, the watch has 32 Jewels in the newer version which is what they are selling.

    It's excellent. And takes some effort.

    The 24 hr movement is great. It's an adjustment to read the nice black line indexes on the 2 1/2 vs the light pips on the fives. Once your brain speaks the correct time when you glance at it, it's quirky and excellent.
